I think this is certain solution: 
1- Update latest directx 9 and your display driver. 
2- Make sure your default playback device is set to 24 bit 48000 Hz. 
(If u have still this error go to step 3) 
3- Go to C:\Users\"your windows user name"\AppData\Local\Activision\CoDWaW\players\profiles . 
Make a new folder there and give it a name (Your ingame username) 
Copy all items inside "$$$" folder to your "ingame username" folder that you have just created. 
Open "active.txt" . Erase $$$ and write there "your ingame username". Save txt file. And right click txt file then clik properties. Set it to "read only". 
Now u can play
