I am writing to express my deep resentment and disappointment in Google Earth Version for using an incorrect and erroneous term – A… Gulf- to identify the Persian Gulf.

Your staff should be well aware that the internationally, historically and geographically correct name for the body of water situated south of Iran between Iran and Saudi Arabia is Persian Gulf. Persian Gulf has no other internationally recognized name.

The historically and geographically correct name of the Persian Gulf has been recognized by the United Nations. Please refer to the UN Directive ST/CS/SER.A/29/Add that declares without any ambiguity that the only name for that body of water is Persian Gulf.

There is no room for politics in the world of geography, nor should Google pander to any special group. For the sake of world peace, I urge you to promptly correct this horrible error.
