اینم از اولین مادربرد اینتل با قابلیت پشتیبانی از SLI با نام D5400XS که بر اساس سوکت 771 میتونه از دو پردازنده پشتیبانی کنه.

این مادربرد از دو nf100 برای پشتیبانی SLI استفاده میکنه که با سرعت 32X با پل شمالی در ارتباط هستن (هر کارت 16x البته اگر از دو کارت استفاده کنین) اینم دیاگرامش.

من از دیدن این خبر خیلی خوشحال شدم چون آینده نزدیک شاید اینتل بتواند SLI را در چیپستهایش پشتیبانی کند.:love: چون من از طرفداران گرافیکهای geforce و چیپست intel هستم.
البته قابلیتهای اورکلاکینگ در این برد در این سایت خیلی پایین ارزیابی شده!

Intel: Skulltrail Supports Crossfire & SLI با اينكه ميدونم sli آخر عاقبت خوبي روي اينتل نداره . به دلايلي كه بعدا ميگم . پلتفرم جديد skulltrail هم از كراس فاير كه مورد علاقه من هست پشتيباني ميكنه هم sli . به نظر من اينتل ميخواست طرفدارهاي sli رو راضي نگه داره . مطمئن باشيد به دليل تجربه اول با مشكلاتي زيادي مثل درايور رو به رو خواهيد بود .

باسلام اينتل اولين بورد پشتيباني با هسته Bloomfield كه براي پردازنده Nahalem ساخته مي شود را نمايش داد
نكته خيلي مهم اين بورد ميشه گفت داراي سوكت LGA 1366 است كه اولين بورد اين سوكت ناميد هنوز اسمي از نام چيپ اين برد نميشه ناميد
و همين طور داراي 2 اسلات PCI_EX 2.0 است كه ايا از كورز فاير پوشتيباني به عمل مياد چيزي گفته نشده است
همچنين در متن گفته شده كه برد اصلي از 3 اسلات PCI-EX 2.0 و 6 ماژول رم استفاده خواهد كرد
اين برد شباهتي زيادي به برد هاي سرور داره وهمين طور به مين برد هاي skulltrail البته در متن گفته شده در سري اين برد ها"bonetrail/skulltrail series" به حساب مياد به احتمال زياد

Chiphell scored the first pictures of Intel's Bloomfield based reference board for the upcoming Nahalem processors and it looks rather different to what we've come to expect from Intel. It's quite clear that this is an early reference board and it's unlikely that the final product will look like this, but it still gives a good insight on how different the Nahalem platform is.
If you look at the pictures below that we spruced up a bit, since the originals from Chiphell are a bit dark, you'll notice that apart from the fact that this board has the usual array of components, it looks nothing like your average Intel board today. The four memory slots are located at the top of the board and we presume the three blue slots are for tripple-channel memory. However, it's odd that there's a single black slot as well and we're not sure what the intention of it is. We actually expected to see six memory slots, but this might well come on later boards.
The CPU socket is located below the memory slots, but oddly enough, behind the chipset. The socket is LGA1366 in this case and it has a lot more pins than what we're used to seeing on consumer level CPU sockets. The chipset location for both the replacement for the MCH and the ICH are located towards the front of the board, vertically above each other. This is something we haven't seen on any other motherboard to date and it looks rather strange.
The location of the 12V power connector is located between the two chipsets which again is unusual, but at least the 24-pin ATX connector is located at the top of the board. The CPU seems to use a six phase analog power regulation, but again, it looks quite different from what we're used to seeing. The memory seems to use a two phase power regulation and there's a Molex connector towards the back of the board which suggests that it's for extra power to the PCIe slots.
Speaking of slots, the board has a pair of x16 PCIe slots, but it also has an open ended x4 slot with a retention clip in the same location as on a x16 slot, suggesting that this board might work with three graphics cards. It also has two x1 PCIe slots an a single PCI slot. Other features we noticed was six SATA connectors, most likely eight rear USB 2.0 ports, what appears to be dual Gigabit Ethernet, as the board appears to have both an Intel and a Marvell network controller, a Realtek HD audio controller, FireWire and a pair of debug LED's.
We're curious about what Joe's order the smackover special means below the bottom PCIe x1 slot, although it could possibly be the board name for now. The skull and crossbone suggests that this is a continuation on the bonetrail/skulltrail series, but time will tell what the official name for the final board will be.

AMD Appoints Nigel Dessau as Chief Marketing Officer
AMD today announced the appointment of Nigel Dessau as chief marketing officer (CMO). He brings 22 years of technology sales and marketing leadership experience at IBM and Sun, and will be responsible for AMD’s global marketing, image and campaign strategies.
“Nigel’s customer knowledge and experience working for IBM and Sun are tremendous assets as AMD charts a new course for the industry with initiatives such as Accelerated Computing,” said Dirk Meyer, president and COO, AMD. “As we deliver platforms and solutions to best meet our customers’ needs, we will lean heavily on Nigel - who has a proven track record of developing and executing clear, compelling global marketing campaigns.”
Dessau joins AMD from Sun Microsystems, where he was senior vice president of storage marketing and senior vice president of alliances and licensing. Prior to that, he was CMO of StorageTek and spent 19 years at IBM, most recently as business unit executive for IBM Virtualization Solutions. While at IBM, Dessau managed the worldwide launch of the IBM zSeries eServer and oversaw marketing programs for the S/390 brand. He also led the marketing strategy teams responsible for extending the corporate e-business and helping to develop the On Demand Business campaigns.
Born and educated in Nottingham, England, Dessau will be based in Austin, Texas and report to AMD’s Office of the CEO
