AMD Launches Faster X3 8850 and X2 5050e Processors
عرضه دو پردازنده جديد و سريع از سوي AMD يكي از سري فنوم X3 به نام 8850 و ديگري از سري X2 5050E
AMD Phenom™ X3 8850 (2.5GHz/95W) - [TRAY OPN# HD8850WCJ3BGH] - This new processor is designed to support AM2+ platforms, and will come with a 2.5GHz core speed. Other technical details include a TDP level of 95W and 2MB of L3 cache. The Phenom X3 8850 will become the first triple-core Phenom processor to be part of the company's Black Edition series. The X3 8850 will obviously have an unlocked multiplier for overclocking enthusiasts.
AMD Athlon™ X2 5050e (2.6GHz/45W) - [TRAY OPN# ADH5050IAA5DO] - In the Athlon series AMD launches a very cute 45 Watt TPD (highest peak wattage) processor called the 5050e. This little puppy will be clocked at 2600 MHz.
There's more to expect from AMD though. Two low-power chips are the 1.6GHz Athlon 2650, single-core with a draw of just 15W, and the dual-core Athlon X2 3250e, running at 1.5GHz and requiring up to 22W. November will also see “AMD Ultra-Value Client (UVC) Solutions”, not for general retail but for OEM customers, which it’s theorized are Atom-rivalling Geode chips for netbooks.
AMDs X3 8850 release will soon be joined by the two Deneb quad-core processors, running at 3.0GHz and 2.8GHz and both requiring 125W; however, they are embargoed until January 8th, the second day of CES 2009 if memory serves me right.
