- Batista's music hits and out comes The Animal, not dressed to wrestle, making his way to the ring with a serious look on his face. Batista takes the mic and can't talk because the crowd is still popping for him. He says he planned on coming out tonight as the new World Champion but Kane's interference stopped that. He says tonight, since Shane and Stephanie McMahon aren't here then he is putting himself in charge.
Batista says he is only going to make one match tonight and that's CM Punk defending his belt against him, Batista. He tells Kane if he has a problem with him, he should find him before he finds Kane. Batista goes on when JBL appears on the big screen and says Batista is in charge of absolutely nothing. JBL says he had his chance and blew it last night, no matter what. JBL says he is special and talks about winning the match against John Cena last night and says that means the next World Title match is his.
Batista says it looks like they have a difference of opinions and tells JBL to come on out so they can discuss it. JBL says he is the boss and he doesn't answer to Batista, that this is the law of the jungle and says the next title match will be his when he takes his torch back at SummerSlam. He says after last night, his body doesn't feel like a World Title match but Batista won't be getting one either. JBL says he is wrestling in the six-man match tonight and says Batista should go find Kane. CM Punk's music hits and out comes the World Champion.
Punk hits the ring and says if this is indeed the law of the jungle, then he must be the king and last time he checked, the king doesn't have to listen to anything. He tells JBL to excuse him while he handles some business and turns to Batista. He said last night he wanted to prove Batista is beatable and because of Kane, he didn't get the chance. Punk says let's do it until we get it right. He says if Batista wants him for the World Title tonight, then let's do it. JBL interrupts and says no, he is the one in charge. Punk says someone put a muzzle on JBL and the sound goes out on JBL on the video. Batista says if Punk is agreeing to it, then we are on. It looks like we're having a World Title rematch tonight as Batista walks to the back and we go to commercial.
- Back from commercial and we see a video of Jenny McCarthy promoting her appearance on WWE's Saturday Night's Main Event to help fight autism on August 2nd.
Lance Cade vs. Paul London
What starts out like Shawn Michaels music turns into Lance Cade's music as he makes his way to the ring. Cade invites Shawn Michaels to come out and face him tonight at anytime, either before or after his match. Cade says they will have the words they should have had a long time ago. Paul London's music hits and he comes out ready for the match. They go at it back and forth to start the match with Cade taking control.
Cade applies a backbreaker move on London and yells taunts at Shawn Michaels. Cade gets caught by a big boot from London. London goes up top and hits a flying cross body for a 2 count on Cade. Cade knocks London down with a big shoulder block and throws him hard, gut first into the steel ring post. Cade nails his sit down powerbomb finisher to get the pinfall and the win on London.
Winner: Lance Cade
- After the match Cade gets on the mic and tells Shawn Michaels if that wasn't enough to get him out here, then maybe this will. Cade introduces Chris Jericho to the fans as the man who ended Shawn Michaels' career and out comes Y2J to the ring as we go back to commercial.
Back from commercial and Chris Jericho is in the ring with Lance Cade. Jericho shows a video of what happened to Shawn Michaels last night and says he is proud of what happened to him. Jericho says Shawn's career is over and it is everyone else's fault. Jericho says since he has defeated the most corrupt WWE Superstar in history, he now considers himself "saved." We go back to commercial.
Kelly Kelly vs. Beth Phoenix
Back from commercial and we see a clip of Beth Phoenix beating Santino Marella last week as well as some footage from inside the Mohegan Sun Casino. Kelly Kelly makes her way out to the ring for the next match. Out next is The Glamazon, Beth Phoenix.
Beth walks up on Kelly and starts bullying her back into the corner. Kelly comes out of the corner and takes Beth to her knees early. Kelly dodges an attack from Beth and tries to roll her up but can't. Beth picks Kelly up off her feet and runs her into the turnbuckle on the other side of the ring. Beth scoop slams Kelly.
Beth continues to manhandle Kelly and applies a body stretch maneuver on the mat as Kelly tries to fight back with elbows. Kelly breaks loose but gets caught by an elbow to the face. Kelly hits Beth with an enziguri kick followed by a big spinning head scissors and a dropkick. Kelly misses her flip attack in the corner as Beth locks onto her from behind and goes for her finisher. Kelly rolls out of it but Beth overpowers her and picks her up in the air and slams her face first on the mat. Beth pins Kelly for the win.
Winner: Beth Phoenix
- Still to come tonight we have the rematch from last night with CM Punk vs. Batista and up next is the six-man rematch from last week. We take another commercial break.
- Back from commercial and Hacksaw Jim Duggan is in the ring, dressed in street clothes. He says he doesn't want to take up a lot of time but he wants to tell everyone that he is considering hanging up his boots. He says it has been a good 30 year run as he won the first Royal Rumble, made a lot of good friends and survived kidney cancer. He says he thought a lot about what DiBiase and Rhodes said last week and they may be right, this is a game for the young and his time may have passed by. He tells the fans thanks, thanks for all the support. Jerry Lawler gets a mic and walks in the ring.
Lawler says there is no age limit in WWE and says regardless of what Rhodes and DiBiase said, if Hacksaw wants to get in the ring he can do it. Lawler says Duggan's presence makes tons of people want to get on their feet and chant "USA" which the crowd starts to do. Lawler asks him if he really wants to give that up and Hacksaw says no, no he doesn't. Duggan thanks Lawler and the music of the World Tag Team Champions hit and the two make their way to ringside.
Rhodes and DiBiase get in the ring. DiBiase says let him get this right, Jerry Lawler is giving career advice to Jim Duggan. He says just because Lawler likes to date girls younger than him doesn't mean he can relate to them. He says they both need to hang it up badly. Rhodes says when Duggan won that Royal Rumble, he was 2 years old and when Lawler slapped Andy Kaufman he and DiBiase weren't alive yet. Lawler asks him if he saw him slap Andy Kaufman and he says no again. Lawler says it went something like this and he slaps Cody Rhodes. Ted DiBiase holds Cody back and tells Lawler and Duggan that they will settle this one day. He tells them that they should leave the ring first and let the people that have a future do the rest. JBL's music hits and we get ready for the next match.
John Cena and Cryme Tyme vs. JBL, Cody Rhodes and Ted DiBiase
JBL makes his way to the ring where his partners await him. JBL is limping as he makes his way down the ramp and we go back to another commercial break.
Back from commercial and JBL is still making his way to the ring. Cryme Tyme's music starts playing as the two make their way to the ring and Lilian Garcia begins her introductions. Cryme Tyme stop outside the ring as John Cena's music hits and out he comes to a pretty loud pop from the fans. Cena meets Cryme Tyme at ringside and the three rush the ring, sending their opponents scrambling to the outside.
It's going to be John Cena and JBL starting the match out tonight. Before anything can happen, JBL tags in Cody Rhodes to kick things off. Rhodes and Cena lock up, bounce off the ropes and Cena hits a big hip toss and a 2 count. Cena hits a big running bulldog on Rhodes for another quick 2 count as JBL stares on. Cena nails a big body drop on Cody and tags in Shad. Shad levels Cody and gets another 2 count.
Shad hits Cody with a couple of big clotheslines in the corner until Cody counters one and gets the upperhand. DiBiase gets tagged in but Shad launches him with a big overhead suplex and a 2 count. Shad tags in JTG and they hit a big double team move on DiBiase in the corner and JTG covers for another 2 count. DiBiase manages to drop JTG on the ropes and tags in JBL. Bradshaw throws JTG in the corner and goes to work with kicks, stomps and punches. JBL with a big shoulder block off the ropes on JTG as he tags back in Cody. JBL holds JTG while Cody punches him. Cody locks a bear hug move on JTG's lower back and holds it.
DiBiase comes back in and continues controlling JTG. DiBiase nails a knee drop from the top rope and gets another 2 count. Back in comes JBL and goes to work on JTG in the corner with more kicks, keeping him cut off in their corner. JBL's team continues to tag each other in and keep JTG stuck in their corner. This really looks like the same exact match as last week. DiBiase applies a body scissors on JTG on the mat as he tries to fight back.
The hold is finally broke loose as JTG tries to make a tag but Cody Rhodes gets tagged in and stops it. Another 2 count by Cody. Cody hits the ring post as JTG dodges an attack. Cody and JTG try to make hot tags. DiBiase and Cena get tagged in at the same time and Cena comes in and cleans house, hitting all his signature moves on DiBiase. Cena goes for the Five Knuckle Shuffle when JBL comes in. Cena fights off JBL and goes to work on Cody and DiBiase. JBL makes his exit through the crowd. Back in the ring, Cena lifts Cody and DiBiase on his shoulder at the same time and hits a double FU. Cena pins DiBiase for the win.
Winners: John Cena and Cryme Tyme
After the match, John Cena celebrates with Cryme Tyme and walks to ringside where his father, John Cena Sr. is sitting and they embrace.
- Backstage we see Chris Jericho and Lance Cade walking. They go to a door and when it opens, Kane is standing there with his bag. Jericho and Cade stop, Kane looks and walks off as we go back to commercial. Jerry Lawler asked if Kane was looking for Batista or vice-versa.
- Back from commercial and we see a video highlighting WWE's involvement with Jenny McCarthy and her Generation Rescue group that helps fight autism. Several celebrities are shown wishing Jenny luck as she steps in the ring to help fight autism with WWE. Jenny's husband Jim Carrey is also featured.
Mickie James and Kofi Kingston vs. Paul Burchill and Katie Lea
The WWE Women's Champion Mickie James makes her way to the ring first for this inter gender tag team match. Out next is the WWE Intercontinental Champion Kofi Kingston. The pair of WWE title holders wait in the ring as the duo of Paul and Katie Lea Burchill make their way to the ring.
Mickie and Katie start the match off first with the two brawling. Katie catches Mickie but Mickie manages to hit a nice hurrancanrana. Burchill tries to interfere and Mickie slaps him in the face on the apron. Out of nowhere, Kofi Kingston flies in the ring and attacks Burchill until the referee breaks everything up. Kofi and Paul go at it in the ring now with Kofi hitting a series of kicks and getting a 1 count when Katie Lea comes in.
Katie starts something with Kofi as Paul attacks from behind. Burchill takes Kofi to the mat and goes to work on his knees as Mickie and Katie watch on. Kofi manages to counter Burchill and roll him up for a 2 count. Kofi hits Paul in the corner with a series of right hands as Mickie knocks Katie to the floor and they go at it. Burchill throws Mickie off Katie. Kofi comes to help but kicks the steel post as Burchill ducks. They go back in the ring and Burchill continues working on Kofi's legs, hits a neckbreaker and pins Kofi for the win.
Winners: Paul and Katie Lea Burchill
After the match, Katie and Paul make their exit as Mickie James tends to Kofi Kingston in the ring. Kofi looks like his ankle is hurt.
- Backstage we see Jamie Noble and Layla. Noble is still trying to convince her to be with him. Batista walks up and asks them if they have seen Kane and Noble says not lately. Noble says he is taking Layla to the casino and tells Batista to go some dumbbell flies or something. Batista lifts Noble up against the wall and tells him if he sees Kane to tell him he is looking for him. Batista drops Noble and walks off as we go back to commercial.
- Backstage and back from commercial we see CM Punk with Todd Grisham. Punk says he would rather be a World Champion with integrity rather than one who held the belt based on technicalities. JBL walks up and Punk asks him what he wants. JBL says he wants the World Title and says he is fully intent on wrestling the World Champion and winning at SummerSlam in 4 weeks. JBL says it doesn't matter if Punk wins or not and wishes him good luck. JBL says he will forever be known as an asterisk and a transitional champion, basically dissing his reign. Punk tells him to check the history books and see that his first successful title defense came against him, JBL. Punk walks off as we go back to commercial.
- We see a promo for tomorrow night's ECW on Sci-Fi. Matt Hardy, Finlay, John Morrison and The Miz will face off in a Fatal Four Way match to determine the #1 contender to face Mark Henry at WWE's SummerSlam for the ECW Championship.
Santino Marella vs. D-Lo Brown
Santino makes his way to the ring as we see a clip from last week where Beth Phoenix answered his challenge and defeated him. Santino says his open challenge was referring to fighting a man and he does not fight people with fallopian tubes, he fights them with an Adams apple. Santino says tonight he will issue the same challenge. Out comes D-Lo Brown making his WWE return after being gone for 5 years!
As D-Lo makes his entrance into the ring, Beth Phoenix makes her way to ringside and watches the match, just standing there. D-Lo goes to work on Santino, getting some early offense. D-Lo looks to be in pretty good shape around the ring. The crowd chants "Let's Go D-Lo" as Brown hits a big suplex and his trademark leg drop. D-Lo hits a big Sudden Impact clothesline and goes to the top.
The former WWE Intercontinental Champion climbs to the top rope and hits his Lo Down frogplash on Santino for the pinfall and the win.
Winner: D-Lo Brown
As Brown is making his exit, Beth Phoenix enters the ring and comes face to face with Santino. She hits him with a forearm shot into the corner and he tries to restrain her. They go back and forth holding each other in the center of the ring until they stop and look at each other with a funny look on their face. They grab each other in the center of the ring and kiss. They then get an awkward look on their faces as Santino walks off, leaving the both of them looking confused.
CM Punk vs. Batista
It's time for the main event as Lilian Garcia introduces the participants for this World Title match. Out first is the challenger, Batista. As Batista does his entrance, Kane's music hits and out he comes to the ring. Batista meets him and the two start brawling. Kane chokeslams Batista and drops him. CM Punk runs out with the belt on his waist and clotheslines Kane to the floor as WWE officials direct him away from the ring. Kane chases another cameraman to the back.
Batista tries to get to his feet as the referee asks him if he is able to wrestle in the match. CM Punk walks over and asks Batista if he wants this match or not. Batista gets up, pushes Punk back as the referee gets in between them. Batista says he is ready to go and we take another commercial break.
Back from commercial and Lilian introduces Punk and Batista, the bell rings and we're finally ready to go with the main event for the World Heavyweight Championship. Batista still shows signs of damage from Kane's chokeslam as he and Punk lock up to start the match. Punk goes with a side headlock that Batista fights out of and hits a big shoulder block.
Punk attacks Batista with kicks and punches but Batista keeps pushing him off and finally drops him with a big boot. Batista gets a 2 count on Punk. Punk gets backed into the corner and Batista goes to work on him with body shots and forearms. Punk hits a swinging neck breaker on Batista and both men are down for a few seconds. Punk kicks Batista in the back a few times and hits him with elbows in the corner as the ref backs him up.
Punk continues to punish Batista on the mat, getting another 2 count. They get back to their feet and Punk continues to hit right hands on Batista. The Animal tries to fight back but Punk trips him face first into the mat and pounds him in the back of the head with right hands. Punk applies another headlock on Batista but The Animal overpowers him and throws him across the ring and both men are down again.
CM Punk gets up first, hits a big leg drop and covers Batista for a 2 count. Punk continues wearing Batista down with a series of kicks and leg drops, then applies a crossface submission on Batista. The crowd starts to get into the match as Batista fights to his feet but Punk keeps battling back also. Punk with another neck breaker and another 2 count on Batista. Punk applies a head scissors on the mat, still trying to wear Batista down. Punk breaks the hold and goes back to kicking on Batista, getting yet another 2 count.
Punk backs Batista in the corner and nails him with more kicks. Punk gets thrown in the corner as Batista tries to battle back. Punk counters and trips Batista face first into the turnbuckle. Punk hits the running knee to the face in the corner and then the bulldog but only gets a 2 count on Batista. Punk gos to the apron, jumps at Batista but gets caught in mid-air. Batista slams Punk with a huge spine buster and starts to get back to his feet.
Both men get back to their feet and Batista rams Punk back into the turnbuckle and pushes him a few times. Punk counters and goes to the top but misses the cross body as Punk moves out of the way. Batista nails the spear on Punk out of nowhere as JBL runs down to the ring. Batista meets him on the outside and they begin to brawl as the referee calls for the bell. JBL lays out Batista with a big clothesline and throws Punk to the outside. John Cena runs out and cleans house. Cena goes to deck JBL but he moves and Cena nails Batista right in the head. Batista grabs Cena for a Batista Bomb but he slides out of it. Cena and Batista brawl in the ring as WWE officials rush down to break them up and RAW goes off the air.
