what's wrong with you people , it's just like you don't know anything about AMD Barton Processors
there's surely a problem
and i know what it is
your processor is working on FSB of 200Mhz instead of 333Mhz
all you have to do is change the FSB on your motherboard
the original frequency of athlon XP2400+ is something like this
11.5*166=1910 but your computer is operating just like old athlons
for the reason of FSB which means 11.5*100=1150MHz
you have to raise FSB from 100MHzDDR to 166MHz DDR
in someboards it calls the FSB 200 Mhz so you have to change it to 333 MHz
believe me there's some sort of problem
if you couldn't make your problem solved , I'll be glad to help
and believe me guys, sometimes being silence is much more effective to giving wrong advices!!!
and also remember to mention your motherboard brand and model
Good luck!!!
