به گفته سایت ars technica (Only the registered members can see the link) ؛ شرکت Apple به تازگی Trademark جدیدی رو به ثبت رسونده که طبق طبقه بندی علایم تجاری شامل موارد زیر میشه:

"Toys, games and playthings, namely, hand-held units for playing electronic games; hand-held units for playing video games; stand alone video game machines; electronic games other than those adapted for use with television receivers only; LCD game machines; electronic educational game machines; toys, namely battery-powered computer games."

پس از منتشر شدن این خبر ؛ خیلی ها عقیده دارند که موفقیت Apple در زمینه ساخت وسایل الکترونیکی کوچک و قابل حمل مثل iPod و iPhone ؛ این شرکت رو به ساخت یک کنسول بازی دستی یا Handheld ترغیب کرده.
البته تاکنون Apple در این مورد اظهار نظری نکرده...
